Also, organizations that represent certain diseases and conditions such as the American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc., may provide fellowships and research grants to work toward more understanding in a given field of study.

Many of these scholarships, fellowships and internships are available only to master’s-level students, and sometimes they are not available until your second year. Accordingly, some scholarships are available to alumni and to honor society members at your alma mater or nationwide. So you’ll need to be aware of what is available and make sure you are eligible and on time when you apply for these funds.
